Social Media Manager at Student Survival Guide
My main tasks are to make sure that SSG's presence on Instagram and Facebook is constantly active. In general, I do old content revision and new content scheduling from the SSG website and adjust it to SoMe needs, which is scheduled according to our strategy that is focused on new students arriving in Denmark. Meaning that our followers will be exposed to content that is relevant to the time.
I also have the opportunity to create new content, engage with the community, learn and analyze how do our followers engage, what is important to them, and whatnot.
Tools I use:

Social Media Strategy
As I mentioned before, our current focus is on new students arriving in Denmark. Therefore, if we take for an example SSG Instagram account, you're able to see some sort of a pattern. A whole column is dedicated for students already in Denmark, which is the "Last week in Denmark" news every Monday. It recaps the most important events over the week and are announced via our Facebook and Instagram page. The followers are engaged via Facebook and Instagram stories.

Content from Instagram
Memes are a great way to connect with an audience. This is why I have chosen to use them time to time in our SoMe posts to increase our exposure. Along with the meme section, another student life related content is shared, such as #StudentInDenmark, where stories from different students and their life in specific university described.
The last column is made for different, educational and informative content posts relevant to students: student accommodation, #goodtoknow announcements, taxes etc.

A very cruitical strategy is to engage our audience with Stories. Stories are a fun, free, and effective way to engage even more when our posts are not being seen in our followers' feed. I try to engage our followers in every post as much as possible - especially by using stickers - polls, Q&A, slider etc.

The role of SoMe manager has evolved
It's not only about posting content and responding to the community. On any given day, I might be having a photoshoot for our #StudentInDenmark articles. Perhaps we are running out of relevant pictures for our new articles, resembling the Student Grant, Danish language, city views (Aarhus, Cph, Vejle, etc.). In this case, I'm more than happy to do it. SSG is very much focusing on authenticity. We want to provide the students with a fresh look of Denmark.
It could also be a day when I'm communicating for potential collaborations regarding our SoMe content. One day I might be planning, creating and scheduling content that is not found on our website.
There are plenty of other examples, which is absolutely amazing, because you meet a lot of new people, learn new things and explore other opportunities.
