Siamo Street is a football & basketball event start-up.. Their two main objectives are to create a friendly and open community that welcomes everyone no matter their experience within sports.

Event photographer at SiamoStreet Football
As a passionate amateur photographer, I wanted to challenge myself with something new. Thus I thought one of the best ways I could learn and improve my photography skills would be through event photography - to capture the atmosphere, people, and place. I knew that there is an organization that could use some help for their future content. Therefore, I offered my help to Siamo Street - to capture the fun, unity, and love for football.

In total, I've participated in their events 6 times as a photographer, yet I'm sure there will be more. Capturing happy faces, movement and fun is a very rewarding feeling. As an introverted soul, I find myself happy to be assigned to a specific task, where I have the freedom to capture anything. Below you can see a mix of other photos I've taken during the time.

Not only for football fans - basketball is here
SiamoStreet has not only changed its name from SiamoStreet Football to simply SIamoStreet, they decided to expand its events by adding basketball. It's definitely a smart move and additionally a great way to reach a bigger audience. Of course, I wanted to also capture one of their first events with my eyes. During the time, I spent a longer time than usual on post-production, simply because, I felt I need to upgrade my skill set. Since I've been doing a lot of editing with my flower photography, creating epic sports pictures seemed pretty exciting to me.

Don't be afraid to be creative
With my flower photography - there are no limitations. Yet, when it comes to sports, I tried to keep the mood natural and simple. Therefore, editing them in a new way was pretty awesome and exciting, where I experimented with different colors, compositions. I very much focused on the sky - tried to keep it more dramatic since on the day when I took the photos it was very gray and gloomy - so boosting up the colors turned out very nice.
